The name
Hespera and the garden of golden apples
Hespera is one of the Hesperides, the evening nymphs of Greek myth: goddess of the sunset and of the golden light at the end of the day. With her sisters she guarded a garden of paradise at the western edge of the world. Golden apples grew there, a wedding gift to the goddess Hera, said to bring immortality. Fetching them was one of the twelve labours of Heracles.
Hesperus, the ancient Greek name for the evening star, comes from the same root. So when we opened three homes in a garden full of fruit trees, on a bay on the west coast of the Bodrum Peninsula known for its sunsets, the name was an easy choice.
There may be no golden apples in our garden, but there are quinces, oranges and mandarins, and some say that is exactly what the golden apples were. The fairy in our logo is Hespera herself, flying towards the sunset.

Hespera Suits · Studio 374 is in Kadıkalesi, inside the Ormancılar holiday complex, between Gümüşlük and Turgutreis, each about 5–7 minutes away by car.
The garden
It starts in the garden
The homes sit in a very large garden, away from crowds and noise. Mulberry, quince, mandarin, pear, orange and pomegranate trees, and a vegetable patch with tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.
Guests pick fruit straight from the trees in season. A picnic table and a portable barbecue sit in the shared garden for everyone to use.

All three share the same layout: a 50 m² one-bedroom apartment with its own entrance and terrace. What sets them apart is colour and decor.
